Just finished viewing the movie, and I must say, Rob Lowe did an excellent job playing Drew Peterson. He captured the very essence of Peterson. Anyone who followed the real case as it was happening can attest to this.

A Few Key Points in the Timeline

1974 - Drew Peterson marries Carol Hamilton aka Carol Brown

1980 - Drew and Hamilton divorce due to his many affairs. She did not notice any strange behavior. There are two sons from the union: Eric and Stephen.

1982 - Drew Peterson marries Victoria Rutkiewicz aka Vicki Connolly.

1992 - Drew and Vicki get a divorce due to his many affairs.Later that same year he marries Kathleen Savio. She is ten years younger than Drew. She had been seeing Drew while he was married.

2001 - Drew Peterson meets Stacy Cales. She is working as a clerk at the Bolingbrook hotel. Drew is 47 and she is 17. They start seeing one another. Drew is still married to Kathleen.

2002 -Kathleen and Drew are fighting constantly. The police responds to the home many times during this period. Kathleen is scared to death. She tells people that she is afraid Drew will kill her.

2003
Drew and Savio get a divorce. Kathleen has primary custody of the kids Thom

Stacy gives birth to a son named Anthony

March 1

Drew calls Kathleen Savio several times, but he gets no answer. Eventually he asks her neighbors to check in on her. (He stated in an interview that he stayed outside because Kathleen was the type to accuse him of stealing, so he stayed outside to keep down confusion) Mary Ponterelli and Steve Carcerano along with a locksmith gain entry into the home while Peterson is outside. Peterson does not run inside the home until he hears screams. Inside the home Savio's body is dumped in the bathtub of her home. There is no water in the tub at the time her body is found.

March 20, 2004
The autopsy report reveals that Kathleen was found with blood soaked hair from a cut to the head. Her tongue was found clenched between her teeth. The death is ruled a drowning.

May 7, 2004 -at a hearing it is concluded that Kathleen's death was an accidental drowning and not a homicide.

January 2005
Stacy gives birth to a daughter named Lacy

September 2006
Stacy's half sister dies of cancer and problems begin in the marriage due to Stacy's depression.

Oct. 26, 2007 -
Stacy tells Drew that she wants a divorce. She tells family members that she fears for her life.

Oct. 27 - Cassandra Cales last sees Stacy at 11:30 p.m. The plan is to meet with her around 10 am the next day.

October 28

Around 10:15 a.m. Bruce Ziderich speaks with Stacy about painting an apartment. It is the last time anyone sees or talks to her. Stacy just disappears.

On the night his wife disappeared, Drew Peterson calls into to work. He was supposed to go into work at pm, but called into to take a sick day. Also, Drew's stepbrother, Thomas Morphey, is said to have told someone that he thinks that he might have unknowingly moved the body. He helped Drew Peterson remove a blue barrel that was warm when he touched it. The barrel was moved from the bedroom to the truck. Afterward the un-named person tried to commit suicide.

October 28, 2007
Drew Peterson laughs and jokes with reporters as he enters the courtroom in shackles. He refers to the shackles.

There is a win a date with Drew contest. The contest is to help the bachelor find a new date. There was such a public outcry that the show which was to air on the Steve Dahl program was canceled.

December 2008
Drew Peterson gets engaged to another woman. He stated that he wanted to remarry so that he could be happy again. He has been dating the woman for months. Ernie Raine, the father of the young woman says it's never gonna happen. He is doing everything possible to get his daughter away from Peterson. Neighbors say that the father actually came to the house and took her out of there.

January 2012
According to the Daily Mail UK and TMZ, Drew Peterson was able to watch an advance copy of the movie. According to his attorney, Joel Brodsky, he thought that movie was absolutely "hysterical." He was shocked by all of the inaccuracies in the movie. Some of the situations just never happened, according to Drew Peterson. He watched he movie from the jail in Will County, Illinois, where he is awaiting trial.

Kathleen Savio's sister Susan Doman did not watch the movie, and says she probably never will. She just does not want to be reminded of what happened to her sister. She is glad that the world will get to see what happened, and maybe it will help bring justice to her sister. She said that her sister Kathleen would be so embarrassed to see her life "played out" like that on tv...for everyone to see what she endured. (source: Wifr.com)
